This can't be my girl Lauryn Hill. What's going on with our Black women? are Black Girls, What about our daughters?
Why is Lauryn Hill Still Acting out? Is Lauryn Hill the new WhitneyHouston (without Bobby)? Can anyone reach out to this sister? Why am I asking this? Read more and view the pictures below. Come back and let us know what you think.
According to sources at Lauryn Hill's Norway concert this weekend, her crazy demands are even more out of control. apparently she demanded that all her security guards be black, none of them could look at her--even from backstage, no one around her could speak to her unless she speaks to them first, and no one could walk past her backstage. Chick clearly has some issues.
Lauryn Hill Flops Live
The former Fugee messes up gigs stateside before she heads to the UK…
Lauryn Hill has left fans in the US disappointed after recent live shows.
According to reports around 100 concert-goers quit her gig in Oakland early and demanded refunds from organisers. The former member of The Fugees arrived on stage late and then performed unrecognisable versions of her classic hits with a croaky voice that was barely heard above the backing band. More HERE
Now these pictures:Can anyone reach out to this sister? Help save this princess. She is screaming for help!

Lauryn Hill is in trouble. She sat up and disrespected herself and had, what, FOUR CHILDREN, with a married man? A man who also had a child with HER COUSIN? She's wasted HOW MANY YEARS of her life on this man, and you're wondering what happened to her?
Isn't it evident?
She's become the antithesis of everything she used to write and sing about in her music.
What! I never knew that. You got to be kidding me. PS, I corrected the typos :-)
I was never a fan, so I can't say that I ever missed her.
If my life depended on it, I could probably name 1 of her songs....maybe.
But none of the Hollywood style shenanigans are shocking, considering the culture of todays so-called "R&B".
Now I do recall catching a few moments of a "Lauryn Hill Uncut" video several years ago... and I will admit, she is (or at least was) talented.
But I have never been inspired to actually spend my hard earned money on an album. I'm not into "hip hop-r&b" at all.
Different strokes for different folks though.
I'm saddened to see the emotional rut she's dug for herself. That's why we can't assume that today's position guarantees where we'll be tomorrow.
Clearly it does not. This sistah has definitely made some real poor life choices, but hope she can turn her life around, if for no other reason than the sake of her 4 children.
I'm also saddened by her situation. We all make decisions on which way our life will go, hers like so many black entertainers was a bad one. I really enjoyed her first solo album (disc).
As Rikyrah noted, She's become the antithesis of everything she used to write and sing about in her music.
I think she has (had) real talent. I wish her well.
Her solo album was hot, but you could see her starting to lose when she was doing the mtv unplugged show. She acts like someone who didn't have a friend to check her when she started tripping and just kept getting crazier. From what I undestand it all started with a broken heart. I hope she gets it togehter.
Hilarious take on this story here: http://averagebro.blogspot.com/2007/07/cocaine-or-whatever-lauryns-on-is.html
Lauryn has always been a crazy self indulgent and self indulged pop star.
Kanye, Timbaland, Amy Winehouse, Madonna and others probably took lessons from her.
Maybe it's possible that everything she used to write and sing about in her music was the pose and now the true Lauryn is being revealed?
Honestly, I think it's just fame. It happened with Whitney, it happened with Lauren, and it's happened with plenty before them.
There are some pitfalls of fame that are pretty deep.
(1) Too famous, too young. - Check Britney on this one. The danger is that the fame, the money, etc., can come before you know who you are. You might even think it is who you are. Problem is, it doesn't last. You get old. Tastes change, and either you have to deal with the reality that you are not "the sh*t," or remain deluded that you are and thus never change, or grow.
(2) Can't nobody tell you nothing. You get so famous and so rich, that there's nobody around you willing to tell you to check yourself, or let you know when you're messing up or about to mess up. In fact, everyone around you may be on your payroll, and more interested in continuing to get paid than putting you in check when needed.
And, if the problem is drugs, there's nothing anyone can take aay from you until the money's gone. So an intervention is kind of pointless. Ask Whitney's family.
Lauryn's missed her calling in life. She keeps running away from it, and until she stops running her soul will not be at peace.
One can always tell when someone is fighting their calling in life...it causes heartache, pain, trouble, confusion, despair, and bewilderment because they keep denying it and running away from it. Her love for humanity runs deeper than she is willing to acknowledge right now and there is only one place for her to rest. She is a minister and it runs deeper than all that Hollywood mess she once aspired to.
My prayer is that she finds the only peace she will ever know. Soon.
i kant believe that thatz her n that pic. wat happend? wow. i remember she used to be a singer that could really connect to not only the problems but the positive things n society. guess its true what they say.::theres a thin line btw brillance & insanity
