Black Womens Roundtable - BET At It Again

Hear another great episode of the Black Women's Roundtable. The latest show (the best that I have heard so far) deals with more antics from BET and the need to tackle the corporate sponsors of this network, as a way to influence the behavior of the company's executives and that of its parent company Viacom.

I would personally like to see BET go away permanently, and have felt this way for the past decade. I wish I could wake up one day to find that this company no longer exists. They have taken minstrelsy and branded it.... and now they have commercially packaged this nonsense for a modern audience. Unfortunately, Black folks are eating the stuff up...

But the mental genocide that this network has contributed to has damaged the "Black Community" far more than anyone has been able to measure and more than anyone probably wants to admit.

Kudos to Gina (the podcaster and blogger from What About Our Daughters.org) who has been working over the past few months, in an effort to hold BET and others accountable.
