The Kos in DailyKos-more than he appears to be?

I was surfing the net this weekend, when I came upon this post at The Unapologetic Mexican about the founder of the DailyKos blog - Markos Moulitsas. It seems as if there are serious questions as to the background of Mr. Moulitsas, and how said background can cast doubts about the very intentions of his blog.

Francis Holland has also done a gathering of 'evidence' in this issue-The Indictment of Markos Alberto Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA by Justice and History

At My Left Wing, there is a gathering of links on this subject: Blog Roll on Moulitsas Conflicts

If nothing else, it will very interesting reading.

Is there a real purpose here?

Half of the information posted by "Holland" was known information... Anyone can do a google search and compile a list of links.

I read the piece by "Holland" and thought it was interesting. I wanted to avoid involvement or passing judgement either way.... mainly because I did not want to become a part of any silly blog wars.

Now I see that my site is linked at myleftwing...and I am none too happy. But I will leave this up (for now).

O.k., there is some information about Kos that is not clear.... contradictory, etc... He has wealthy relatives? o.k... What's the point? And he worked for the government? O.k.... so what!

More recently he has turned to more progressive views. Suggesting that he is a "spy" just sounds elementary...and seems more like a conspiracy theory. Someone wants to make a 26 count indictment on shaky information that they found on the internet? lol (and this is not the first attack on Kos)... it just seems a little silly to me....and indictments for what???? There is some money in his family? Wow! Big deal! He was born where??? Perhaps this man wants to keep part of his private life private and did not want to reveal this information.

I have had my issues with some of the people at his site (although I haven't had a problem with him directly), but nothing major. My first encounter with him was positive for me... when I first started this blog...he gave me one of my first big links....and I was surprised that he did it because in that blog entry, I had slammed the Democratic party. He linked me anyway, because part of the post was a story about him.

I find his site to be a useful tool.

Whatever personal issues that exist between these 2 bloggers should remain between them.

Other bloggers should not be so quick to jump in the middle of this dispute to take one side or the other. Although I do like the idea of bloggers of smaller sites standing up to the so called "big bloggers". But if you go to DKos and look at the list of Holland Diaries (many of them good and interesting) you will find that Holland and the folks at Kos go way back with their disputing.

I don't want this site to become a part of the circus... one way or the other.
