I have not had a chance to watch the Olympics yet.
I'll just have to catch the replays.
The ceremony was amazing. The sheer size of all the participants, as well as their precision...the visuals were like...DAMN.
Though the lighting of the torch was interesting, nothing comes close to the archer who lit it via flaming arrow in Barcelona.
The fireworks, though, kicked serious ass.
The Chinese announced to the world that they were here and plan on staying.
I will try to catch it on a replay...
I have been so distracted....too much going on.
I should actually be sleep right now...but can't. I will go to work again this evening with no sleep.
Not looking forward to that at all.
And yes... the rise of China is real.
In fact, China and India are moving up...
The U.S. will no longer be dominant in business, economy, education, tech, etc. It has already lost its edge in cars and manufacturing.
The U.S. is going to have to figure out what role it will play in the World....and how it will share the world stage.
The U.S. will already have to get used to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th place or lower in a lot of areas. It's already hurting Americas national ego.
