More Lies Surface in U.S. Attorney Firings


The Bush-ites Are Having Trouble Keeping Their Lies Straight

But that's what happens when you lie too much.

Bush & Co. tried to blame poor Harriet Miers for putting together the scheme to fire Federal Prosecutors as political punishment. But it appears that others in the White House were actually the major players in the firing of these attorneys- namely Karl Rove. Attorney General Gonzales was also involved in this mess. The White House has now backtracked on the claim that Miers was the person who came up with the idea...only after e-mails surfaced that exposed their lie.

Additional article appears to suggest that the firings were politically motivated.

Presidential advisor Karl Rove and at least one other member of the White House political team were urged by the New Mexico Republican party chairman to fire the state's U.S. attorney because of dissatisfaction in part with his failure to indict Democrats in a voter fraud investigation in the battleground election state.
