UPDATE:
Here's an update to an earlier post regarding Fox News and the misrepresentation of John Conyers in their coverage of the William Jefferson indictment.
Fox News Offers an Apology...
And Conyers responds.

Now I found Conyer's response to be interesting.... considering he is an elder statesman of the CBC. See his statement below:
His Comments were interesting considering that the CBC has been falling over itself, to get the Presidential candidates to debate on the network.... offering legitimacy to an organization that Conyers readily admits has a "disrespect for people of color" and has a "complete disregard for accuracy in reporting".Fox News has a history of inappropriate on-air mistakes that are neither fair, nor balanced. This type of disrespect for people of color should no longer be tolerated. I am personally offended by the network’s complete disregard for accuracy in reporting and lackluster on-air apology.
Conyers is one of only 3 or 4 elder statesmen of the CBC who is treated as Royalty.... when they speak...the CBC members listen...they have considerable influence over the direction and the vision of the organization.
So this just begs the question... what was the CBC thinking when it decided to pursue this deal with Fox News and what is the motive for continuing this effort??? The Black Blogosphere has been way ahead of the CBC on this issue... warning them about such a move. Perhaps they were completely naive about Fox.... (although Conyer's statement indicates that the CBC was well aware of the history of that network.).
This just contributes to the suspicion that Fox may be offering a lot of Cold hard Jeffersonian Cash to persuade some CBC members to continue efforts to have debates on the network.
