Cheney Ordered Visitor Logs Destroyed

A new report reveals that Dick Cheney, through his attorney, ordered the Secret Service not to keep logs of who visited his residence, and to purge any logs that they had. This would be a violation of the Presidential Records Act, which requires that records, such as visitor logs, be maintained, for both the President and VP. This comes after his involvement in the Valerie Plame fiasco.

We can add this to the list of offenses for his impeachment. I don't expect his impeachment to go forward, but we are finding more and more reasons why he should be removed. Of course the major TV news networks have been ignoring this latest story.

This is just the latest in a series of revelations, suggesting that the VP has been taking a lead role in making many of the decisions in this Bush Administration. I have always thought of Cheney as the defacto President....behind many of the reprehensible policies of this government. Bush has been just a figurehead. He has readily admitted several times that he doesn't even read the newspaper. OTHER folks have clearly been running this government all along. The neo-cons used Bush for his name recognition, so they could ride into the White House in 2000. Bush didn't have a clue then, and still doesn't have a clue now.
