Couric: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this to stay informed and to understand the world?
Palin: I've read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media.
Couric: What, specifically?
Palin: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me all these years.
Couric: Can you name a few?
Palin: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news, too. Alaska isn't a foreign country, where it's kind of suggested, "wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, D.C., may be thinking when you live up there in Alaska?" Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America.
She didn't even think enough ahead to have a prepared lie. See, this is what is bothersome.
It's an easy question.
Anchorage Daily News
Washington Times (good conservative that she is)
NYTimes
Is that so hard?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
NOBODY BLACK, who was this obviously incompetent and fucking stupid, would be taken seriously. The excuses made for White mediocrity are glaring.
And before anyone posts in the comments that this is a 'distraction', I have come to disagree with you.
I THOUGHT that the MSM would do its job.
I THOUGHT that the lunacy of the proposition of a Vice-Presidential Candidate NOT EVER HAVING A PRESS CONFERENCE would point out the obvious - that this woman is not qualified.
But, the MSM hasn't done its job.
So, we must point out to those who might click on this site, what a disaster this woman is. And, that, the crux of her is this:
Sarah Palin - JOHN MCCAIN'S JUDGMENT AT WORK.
THIS is what he thought of this country.

I was just about to jump on this one... I checked Dkos a second ago and couldn't believe that foolishness. Glad you got it though... I'm trying to enjoy my dinner :).
This should be disqualifying IMO. PERIOD!
The average American moron can name at least one or two newspapers.
Pathetic!
But in a few hours... there will be no escape...and no lifelines.
I wish it was one of those debates where they take questions from the audience... if that were the case... you know where I would be. I would have made arrangements to be off work that night.
But since they want to make it a staged event... everything will be scripted.
Sidenote: I heard that Ifill broke her ankle...or leg just recently. She should still be able to do the debate.. But to be honest... I wish it were someone else.... I want someone tougher in there. But we will see... Ifill might surprise me.
P.S.
That's why I am annoyed by folks who don't understand White Privilege. I try to explain it to co-workers.... and they just don't get it.
No one black who is that clueless would be nominated for such a high office. It's just not possible.
She wasn't even vetted for VP... that's like getting a $1 million loan without a credit check.
And you know we wouldn't get that kind of treatment.
What can I say Rikyrah. Reading is fundamental. Or not.
After further review, I can't really fault Palin for dodging the question. In a presidential campaign, it's hard to say that the only publications you read to stay informed about the world are the Bible and ESPN the Magazine.
