James.Dobson.In.A.Dress is ALWAYS about McCain's JUDGMENT

While she is to be opposed for being right wing religious fanatic..

The bottom line is that This is about Senator ' Country Last'.

His first Presidential Act was the choice for Vice -President.

What did this choice tell us?

That he could care less about The United States of America, and its future. That he cares not for the stewardship of this country, and does NOT wish it the best, even if he is not President.

Bombshell: Vetted Last Wednesday
03 Sep 2008 12:30 am

Unbelievable:

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was not subjected to a lengthy in-person background interview with the head of Sen. John McCain's vice presidential vetting team until last Wednesday in Arizona, the day before McCain asked her to be his running mate, and she did not disclose the fact that her 17-year-old daughter was pregnant until that meeting, two knowledgeable McCain officials acknowledged Tuesday... McCain had spoken with all of the others on his shortlist over the course of a selection process that went on for several months, but he was least familiar personally with the person he finally chose.

How confident does that make you in McCain's executive skills? And one wonders whether the vetters had read this Anchorage Daily News story or this one. Or whether they were aware that she had been at a Jews For Jesus sermon only a week or so previously, on August 17, where the speaker said that anti-Israeli terrorism was "God's Judgment" for the Jews not converting to Christianity.

If this is how John McCain picks the person who would replace him in an emergency, imagine how stable and rational a decision-maker he'd be in the White House.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Barack Obama, as so many here will remind you..
Had a Vice-Presidential Vetting Team THAT WAS VETTED ITSELF.

Now, we find out that, out of the entire GOP, across this country, Senator 'Country Last' felt that the person most capable in this country to take over in case the ' unthinkable' happens..

Is a right-wing religious fanatic, who, at the age of 44, has left the United States, ONCE, and just got a passport 2 years ago.Who has been in office less than 2 years, and already is accused of Abuse of Power. Who has no published thoughts or opinions about foreign policy.

I'll remind folks again: the GOP HAS a bench of experienced, qualified women.

James.Dobson.In.A.Dress is NOT one of them.

This is extremely bizarre.

Perhaps scary is the word i'm looking for.

This is so basic that it boggles the mind. If he can't do this properly...how can he run the Country?

The vetting process- at least the initial process- should begin months ahead of time....(more than a year in some cases). Yes...MONTHS ahead of time. It should be slow and methodical. 4-8 weeks is probably a good minimum. But he started the process 24 hours or less...before offering her the position? That's pretty reckless!

This is really a National Security risk... BIG TIME. If Bush wants to do something good before leaving office...(and if the Congress can get something done)... they should make some basic laws that would establish minimum standards regarding vetting of candidates by political parties, by the Secret Service, and by Presidential candidates (for their running mates). New standards should spell out the minimum timeframe required.... (should be at least 30-45 days). You need several weeks to do a proper background check and to get a sense of what kind of person you are dealing with.

For many Federal and State government jobs... applicants are often required to have 2 or 3 interviews in phases (including oral boards...with panels of 3,4 or 5 people...grilling the Hell out of you). This is before you even get your "conditional" offer of employment. You don't get the permanent spot until your background investigation is completed. The whole process has been known to take anywhere from 6 months to a year, depending on what kind of job you are applying for. (and this is often for entry level work).

So how is this not required for one of the most important jobs in the entire World... Vice President (and President) of the United States?

It boggles the mind.

Oh yeah.... I caught the report about her preacher.

This is going to be good.

Problem is... someone needs to get their hands on that damn audiotape. It's sitting up in Alaska in some archives somewhere.

Is this the same guy from the secession group? Because he had some crazy comments about the U.S. too... (all these stories are starting to blend together in my brain).

I have seen at least 6 or 7 new stories just in the past 24 hours. There were probably 7 stories in the 24 hours before that.. and on & on.

I have lost track.. (and i'm usually on the ball). I have just not been with it over the past few days. The stories on Palin are coming faster than I can count em'...and they are definitely coming faster than I can blog on them.

Thanks for posting these stories over the past week.
