Just saw it on MSNBC.
The reason why the Commerce Secretary is important this time, is because of the 2010 Census. Getting folks accurately counted, and holding onto Black political representation - through Congressional Districts - is important to me. That’s why I thought it was a positive to see The Census moved into The White House.
Also, the Commerce Secretary also holds the office of the SBA, if I’m thinking correctly. And, if there’s anything Black folk need, it’s more businesses in the community.
So, that’s why I think the Commerce Secretary is still needed.
I’m not sad about Gregg leaving. I believe there has to be a business-minded Democrat, interested in improving AMERICAN Businesses, that could be chosen. I admit that I'd like to see a Black businesswoman get the post.

I saw Wolf Blitzer reporting this bit of "breaking news" on CNN_and I'll admit, my initial reaction was___Those d*mn republicans, always pulling some low-down sh*t! Gregg knew d*mn well what the deal was when he accepted the nomination_so WHY have so-called "conflicts" just NOW become a problem?!
Anyway.....
After I took a minute to cool down and THINK about this thing, I've now come to this conclusion:
Despite all of the posturing and bully rhetoric on public display, by MOST politicians, any given day, _most politicians are deceptive, weak-azz, WANNABEs.
Gregg can spout all of the so-called reasons he's withdrawing from the nomination.
But I'd bet this is the real reason:
Gregg chickenend out because his fellow rethuglicans turned on him with a quickness_making life for him and possibly his family_really-REALLY_uncomfortable!
Gregg's weak-azz UNnderestimated the degree to which he would be made to suffer for daring to go against the Rethuglican Brotherhood of Revenge.
Obama has his work cut out for him on all sides! But these events must play out IF (1) Obama's enemies are to thoroughly discredit themselves in the end_and (2) Obama is to achieve a real measure of Success during his presidency.

I declare their EVIL azzez are so d*mn obvious it's pathetic!

[ The GOP's War On Obama: Confirmed
Byron York confirmed that it was Republican partisan pressure that forced Gregg to pull out. The idea that a Republican could help give Obama cover on entitlement reform and that he would preside over a big increase in Hispanic representation in the Census was too much for the Rovian partisans. Shill Kristol lets the cat out of the bag:
"they were worried that clever “post-partisan” or bipartisan tactics by Obama could split and weaken an already uncertain and demoralized GOP."
Party first. Country always always last. Welcome to today's Republicans. ]
