All you have to know about the security situation in Iraq and Afghanistan is that Bush still has to sneak in at night.

He's used to ducking and dodging. He's been doing that for the past 8 years... actually (if you go back to the Vietnam era.....well... you know that story). He's been doing it all his life. So he had a lot of practice.

I don't recall ever seeing an American leader humiliated like this when traveling the globe. It's just confirmation that the U.S. reputation around the World is at a new low.

His comments at the Press conference just seemed odd and patronizing. In essence, he wanted the Iraqi's to thank him for invading and nearly destroying their Country.... The man clearly doesn't understand the impact that U.S. foreign policy has on people around the World (and neither does Obama, unfortunately). Bush doesn't seem to understand that most Iraqi's had at least one friend or family member killed as a result of this war. (in many cases, multiple family members).... or were direct victims themselves in some way... either being wounded or crippled, raped, beaten, kidnapped, losing their homes, their money, their businesses, losing their socio/economic position, and/or becoming refugees.

And there is a quiet tragedy going under the radar in Iraq, regarding women and girls who lost their fathers, brothers, grandfathers, etc. Women who once lived in normal traditional households, are now homeless, refugees in Syria, Jordan, Egypt and other Mideast Countries...and many have been forced to become Prostitutes to survive. Imagine if that was happening here on the scale that it is happening in the Middle East? That would be front page in the U.S....

just imagine ourselves in the Iraqis' shoes...if our loved ones died right in front of us,how would we feel?if you ask me,I'll join any available terrorist group and blow myself, bringing as many of the outsiders down with me.
