But I wish I could stay home and rest.

thank you for doing that so that other folks can have the time with their families. My father worked every holiday and personally, it pissed me off, but he told me it was his gift to his co-workers, who supported him throughout the rest of the year. When I realized Daddy didn't mind it, I felt it was kind of stupid for me to be mad about it.
