In an unusually frank interview on Canadian public radio, CBC, Rep. Emmanuel Cleaver of Kansas City -- a Hillary supporter and superdelegate -- gives a sense of how tenuous Clinton's hold on many black superdelegates is.
"If I had to make a prediction right now, I'd say Barack Obama is going to be the next president," he said just after 18:00. "I will be stunned if he's not the next president of the United States."
He doesn't back off his support for Clinton, and has criticism for Obama:
"He is articulate - in the black tradition, he would probably be mediocre, but in White America..." he said, a bit dismissively, of Obama's speaking style, going on to joke about the word "articulate."
I just want someone to point out to me consistent Obama Female Supporters who denigrate Hillary the way that ALL the HHH seem to strike at Obama.
Rest of post at link above.

UPDATE: My Fellow Blogger, Jack Turner over at Jack and Jill Politics, has more info on the interview, and Jack says that I should give Cleaver half a break. My response to that is...if this were an ISOLATED INCIDENT, maybe I would.
But, as I've said before..
When things are neither ISOLATED nor INCIDENTAL..
They form a PATTERN....
And, the PATTERN that I've seen consistently from HHH, beginning with that South Carolina State Senator Ford...
Is that they can NEVER seem to resist the chance to insult and/or denigrate Obama.
NOT his policy positions..
But, him PERSONALLY.
And, I'm past trying to ' understand'.
So, here is some more info that Jack found from the interview, along with his comments:
demonstration of how we do in fact have two americas
"wright reflects in his sermons in his theology what is experienced by many african americans"
"i think many african americans live vicariously through the expressions of jeremiah wright"
"it is an overreach to declare that sen. barack obama is satan's first cousin because [of the comments of his pastor]"
should obama have shunned the church?
"i have some appreciation for the fact that barack obama joined that church."
"that church has a long and rich history of being actively involved in the betterment of the chicago black community"
"this church does more than whip up people's spiritual emotions on sunday...they are actively involved in improving the community"
"we have now started measuring everyone by something we say is excluded from public life, that is religion"
"you are measured on your religion, and i think that's sick"
why clinton
1) long history with the clintons. my youngest son has jogged with her. it's a friendship
2) i believe she would be the best president
"i don't know senator obama."

Jack Turner's Thoughts:
What Cleaver was very open and honest about is that a lot of these early black Clinton supporters chose her out of simple loyalty. They didn't know Obama, but they also didn't BOTHER to get to know him before making their judgments.
Clinton was the safe bet. She's married to Bill. It was easy. Now many of them are in an awkard position.
Where many have messed up is in slamming Obama relentlessly and unfairly. Or they go out and promote Hillary based on weak arguments. It's their only choice, though. They had no strong arguments FOR her other than the fact that they "knew" her and she was the safe bet.
They bet wrong, and now it's biting many of them in the ass.

LOL, at you using Hankerchief Head. Malcome X's put downs are the best.
I've long since had it with the head Negroes. They're going to get there come up ins in the fall.
Rikyrah -
Is a Black person able to have the belief that Barack Obama is not the best candidate in the presidential race and avoid your label as "handkerchief head"?
