Another 'Isolated' Racial Insult of Obama

Hat tip: Politico.com

Dept. of word choice

A prominent New York Clinton supporter, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, on how Hillary beat Obama in New Hampshire by beating him at retail politics:

”It’s not a TV-crazed race. Frankly you can’t buy your way into it,” Cuomo said. “You can’t shuck and jive at a press conference,” he added. “All those moves you can make with the press don’t work when you’re in someone’s living room.”

Are you going to tell me THAT isn't racial?

SHUCK AND JIVE?

How come it seems as if, we repeatedly get these statements coming from the Clintons, and/or their surrogates, and then we're either given a phony apology, or we're told we 'misinterpreted' it.

English is the PRIMARY language of the Black community. We understand it when we hear it, and don't need anyone else to interpret it for us.

But, oh yeah, we're ' imagining' it.

UPDATE:

Here's the ' Update' from Politico.com

UPDATE: Though the report I link refers specifically to New Hampshire, Cuomo called to play the tape of the interview, in which he says nice things about Obama, and in which the quote above is describing both Iowa and New Hampshire -- meaning it's not a direct reference to Clinton's primary victory, or attempt to explain it.

"Barack Obama is a beautiful symbol. He's a powerful speaker. He's a charismatic figure. And what he has to say is important for the Democrats," Cuomo says in the interview, with the New York Post's Fred Dicker.

"It was never about Obama in the first place," Cuomo told me of the use of the phrase, which he said he was using "as a synonym for 'bob and weave.'"

Once again, the ' explanation'.....yes, I can see how ' bob and weave' can evolve into SHUCK AND JIVE.

As for the 'nice things'....am I imagining things, or did Bob Kerrey say ' nice things' as HE delivered the smear too?

'Beautiful Symbol'.

BEAUTIFUL SYMBOL?

Is that akin to FAIRY TALE?

I'll keep on repeating this:

When 'Isolated Incidents' cease being ISOLATED & INCIDENTAL

They form a PATTERN.

Accept what the PATTERN tells you.

Besides the racist comments streaming in from the Hillary campaign, your WEB Dubois quote in the top right corner from a century ago, is perfectly apropos for what's going on right now-- rampant vote fraud against Obama in NH.

The paper ballots in the state-- which are countable and can be audited-- overwhelmingly went to Obama, yet somehow, those uncountable ballots in the privately-held Diebold machines-- w/o a paper trail and which are easily hacked-- fully reverse what Obama got with the paper ballots? We're supposed to believe that?

*And* the exit polls show a big Obama victory, yet the Diebold uncountable votes show the opposite? The exit polls aren't predictive polls, they're done at the polling stations and reflect how *people actually voted*. They represent a form of auditing, and they show the Diebold numbers to be openly fraudulent.

Also, notice how all the paper ballot and exit poll data was consistent for the Republican side, yet somehow on the Democrat side and only for Obama vs. Clinton, give different results.

What a bunch of bull. This is such ridiculous vote fraud that it ruins any credibility our democratic system might have. I've been voting for Democrats for decades but I won't cast a vote for Hillary, ever. I cannot countenance fraud and deception in an election.

What's really scary is, I was talking with friends earlier today, who noted that the rage about the vote manipulation in New Hampshire among the African-American community is so great, there's probably going to be violent protests and riots worse than the late 1960's if Hillary is nominated. I hope it doesn't comed to this, but just as Dubois predicted, even when African-Americans gain power fair and square, corporate America and their shills in both parties (especially a DLC lackey like Hillary Clinton) will stop at nothing, even to the point of altering vote totals and hurting our democracy, to stop Blacks from having an actual position of authority. And it's not something we can let stand anymore.

I try to stay away from the conspiracy theories. And this sounds like another conspiracy theory to me.

This campaign will create a lot of conspiracy rumors.

But vote manipulation is a possibility. I expect to see all kinds of other dirty tricks as the primaries move forward.

Isn't shuck & jive a southern term? I remember learning that phrase as a kid watching Boss Hogg in "Dukes of Hazzard". They were always talking about 'shuckin and jivin', and there wasn't a black person in sight.

I'm concerned that we might hurt Obama's chances by combing every word that anybody says and looking for the most racist interpretation possible. He has already said that there is 'no black america, no white america'.

I am sure that there are plenty of racist people who don't want to see Obama win, don't get me wrong. But I think that a lot of us are getting to be too quick on the trigger with some of this stuff. :-(

NEWS FLASH !
Hillary Was AGAINST the Civil Rights Act of 1964
While a Republican and "Goldwater Girl"

A March 12, 2007 article written by acclaimed Washington columnist Robert Novak sheds a very revealing light on the true sentiment of Hillary Clinton during the peak of the Civil Rights Movement. Clinton recently was found to have minimized the great and monumental strides taken by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by stating that it was Lyndon B. Johnson, then president, who should receive the credit for the civil rights progress including the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

In an attempt to attract black support Hillary Clinton regularly shares her 'civil rights experience' during every speech given to black audiences. Novak writes of one such speech at Selma's First Baptist Church on the 42nd anniversary of the "bloody Sunday" freedom march there, where Sen. Clinton declared: "As a young woman, I had the great privilege of hearing Dr. King speak in Chicago. The year was 1963. My youth minister from our church took a few of us down on a cold January night to hear [King]. . . . And he called on us, he challenged us that evening to stay awake during the great revolution that the civil rights pioneers were waging on behalf of a more perfect union." But Novak's article states that there's a big problem with her statement.

The fact is, in 1963, not only was Hillary Clinton a republican, but she was also a staunch supporter of republican Senator Barry Goldwater, well known as a segregationist and one of the most vocal senators adamently against the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which is why he lost in his presidential bid to Lyndon B. Johnson. Novak writes "...how then could she be a 'Goldwater Girl' in the next year's presidential election?" He continues, "...she described herself in her memoirs as 'an active Young Republican' and 'a Goldwater girl, right down to my cowgirl outfit.'

Novak adds, "As a politically attuned honor student, she must have known that Goldwater was one of only six Republican senators who joined Southern Democratic segregationists opposing the historic voting rights act of 1964 inspired by King. Hillary headed the Young Republicans at Wellesley College. The incompatibility of those two positions of 40 years ago was noted to me (Novak) by Democratic old-timers who were shocked by Sen. Clinton's temerity in pursuing her presidential candidacy." Novak adds, "What Hillary Clinton said at Selma is significant because it betrays her campaign's panicky reaction to the unexpected rise of Sen. Obama as a serious competitor for the Democratic nomination.

Clinton's plans were transformed by the advent of Obama, an African-American threatening the hard allegiance of black voters forged by Bill Clinton. On one hand, the Clinton campaign has attacked Obama and his supporters. On the other hand, she has sought to solidify her civil rights credentials.

While Clinton was re-inventing her past, her road to the White House is not going as planned. Instead of a steady procession to coronation at the Denver convention, she is involved in a real struggle against credible opponents led by Obama. No wonder she and her handlers were tempted to imply the existence long ago of a young lady in Chicago's suburbs who never really existed."

We greatly appreciate Mr. Novak's findings which bring one main thought to mind. Wake up Black America! DON'T BE FOOLED ! The fact is, despite her falsehoods, Hillary was AGAINST the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that Dr. Martin Luther King died for. As a 'Goldwater Girl' she was actually even against Lyndon B. Johnson, the very person she now gives the credit to for Dr. King getting to the mountaintop. She has worked extremely hard to hide many truths about her past, including ordering that her 92 page college thesis that she wrote at Wellesley College be 'sealed' and unavailable to the public, an order forced upon the college by Bill Clinton while president, although all senior thesis' at Wellesley have been available for public reading for over 100 years, except one....Hillary Rodham Clinton's.

Reports have stated that information in her 'secret thesis' could be the 'Swift Boat' ammo to be used by the Republican Party against her should she become the nominee. (read more about 'secret thesis' at MSNBC)

In addition to re-inventing her past, the most obvious new Billary Clinton strategy is to use 'Token Negroes' like BET Founder Bob Johnson, Tavis Smiley, and Magic Johnson to name a few, to attack and discredit Barack Obama, a tactic which many blacks find additionally offensive, calling these black Clinton cronies 'sell-outs'. Spread the word....share the facts. The Clinton's have been conning the black community for a long time and are NOT what they claim to be. I bet they go home at night, pour some expensive wine, kick their feet up and just laugh like crazy about what big black suckers we are. But now, it's time to prove them wrong !
