Newark, NJ - First time since 1966 that it's gone for a month without a murder.
Mayor Cory Booker discusses with Rachel Maddow his city not having a murder in this calendar month - the first time this has happened since 1966, and other programs he's trying to institute in the city.

Outstanding.
But as he pointed out... it has to be the community AND the police department working together.
There also has to be a change in the culture. That's the heart of the problem. No police department or neighborhood watch will be able to change that.
