Suspect Arrested for Murder of Chauncey Bailey
Thugs gunned down prominent San Francisco Bay Journalist Chauncey Bailey last week, and a suspect has now been arrested in the case. Bailey was targeted for his focus on a Black Muslim group in the Bay area.
Now police say that the suspect may not have acted alone.
Blogger James Collier also covered this story.

I had never heard of Chauncey Bailey until his death, but I don't think that's important. What is important, is that upon reading his contributions, and the type of character that he was, I realize that I can name five comparable people in my city, and then I juxtaposed as to how I would feel if they were murdered like that, under these circumstances.
The soul cries out. I believe the literal soul of our community is crying.
This is everything we say we want in the community - a longstanding, true to the bone warrior, who fought for those who didn't have a voice of their own. He was someone who did the right thing, and always tried talking truth to power.
That he has been snuffed out by some two-bit thugs says so much about the degeneration of our community.
I cry for Oakland, but I also cry for us as a community, because, once again, one of the good ones is gone, and knuckleheads still remain.
