Obama Administration Priorities 8 thru 5

(I should have put this entire top 10 list in one post).

#8. Create a Plan to keep Americans in their homes. (seems to be doing this finally).

#7. Restore common sense budgeting... pay as you go, etc. Then create a plan to make annual payments on the National Debt (that's only if the U.S. gets through the current economic mess...especially with the banking system).

#6. Kill the idea of putting an anti-missile system in Poland.

#5. Provide more funding for schools...and require more programs and courses promoting civics, foreign studies, the arts, and more financial support for good teachers.

Priority #9 for the Obama Administration - Repair the U.S. Military

Obama has to invest more in soldiers, families, veterans and must improve healthcare. A lot of people are waiting to see if he keeps the promises he made on this issue during the campaign. The military also should be restructured... There is too much dependence on National Guard and Reserve units (something Clinton implemented).

Of course one way to relieve the strain on the military is to have a completely different foreign policy approach to begin with.

I would also like to see the Obama Administration re-investigate the numerous suspicious death cases of soldiers overseas... But I know that isn't going to happen. The deaths of these soldiers are not priorities and never will be priorities for suits in Washington DC. I really don't think any of those people give a damn about individual cases.

But improving overall conditions will improve quality of life, reduce divorces (due to excessive deployments), reduce family violence, reduce suicides, improve the quality of housing and health services.

The Top Ten Priorities For The Obama Administration

Over the next few weeks I will post my top ten list of Obama Administration priorities.

I'll try to post one a day... starting with ten and moving up, and adding a summary explaining why that particular item is important in Obama's first term.

I already have most of my list completed... but what issues or problems are most vexing for you? Of course we know about the obvious two or three...there are certain issues right now that will be at the top, but what are some of the less obvious problems?
