Senator Claire McCaskill, upon finding out that after taking taxpayers money, the greedy mofos of Wall Street paid themselves 18 BILLION DOLLARS IN BONUSES for companies that were going under. McCaskill wants to pass provisions limiting compensation for companies that take taxpayer money to the salary of The President of the United States.

I'd like to agree with Sen. McCaskill's contention that Wall St. execs are "idiots". But they're obviously doing something smarter (or slicker) than the rest of us. Only geniuses - albeit, diabolical - can panhandle and tell sob stories to get money while robbing people blind. "Idiots" can't pull off the crime of the century this smoothly.
It reminds me of the scene from "Don't be a Menace..." when a dude appears to be homeless and is accepting handouts. But the minute people are out of sight, he takes off his grungy clothes (wearing a designer suit underneath), hops in his Mercedes, and drives off.
In one corner, we have wealthy execs claiming to be paupers in order to get bailout money. In the other corner, we have our dear and intrepid Congress giving our money to those execs without an ounce of oversight. Remind me again on who the idiots are...?
That's my Senator!!! :)
I hope her Bill gets support. Although I doubt it will pass...because most members of the House and Senate are still pretty much controlled by big business.
