Sometimes, you read things and go 'WOW'. Marco Rubio has made me do that.

hat tip-djchefron

I have to admit, I didn't believe it could be true.

But, the headline confirmed it:

Marco Rubio says deport all the immigrants

Yes, you read right.

Marco Rubio says deport all the immigrants

Are there words?

Here is a quote from Rubio:

Then Rubio explained that he is against letting illegals become legal:

Rubio also rejected the notion of a "path to citizenship" or "amnesty," despite "the human stories."

"There are going to be stories of very young kids that were brought to this country at a very young age who don't even speak Spanish that are going to be sent back to Nicaragua or some other place. And it's gonna feel weird and I understand that," he said, suggesting that those hardships would be a price worth paying.

Hah! That's a quote from Marco Rubio, son of Cuban refugees. Cubans were, for decades, welcome to settle in America without visas or papers or anything, and they are still allowed to enter the the U.S. via Mexico without fear of being deported.

But Nicaraguans? Ugh, no. Marco Rubio says GO HOME.

Ain't that a bitch?

IFFFFF they were from any other country (cough, Haiti, double cough), Cubans would be considered ILLEGAL and SHIPPED BACK.

They aren't here through legal channels.

But, HE and HIS have made it, and the rest of you can go f-yourselves.

All the Latinos in Florida who are thinking of giving Rubio a chance in part because of ' Latino Pride'...

well......

when the chips are down, and he needed to take a stand...

look what stand he took.

Look who he sucked up to.

Look whose ass he kissed...

He's showing you who he is....

we have a term for folks like Rubio in the Black community....one of my current favorite terms is Slave Catcher.

may your vision be clear as you look at Rubio.

Gov. Mark Sanford Abandons State for Mistress

So after all the lying and misleading with phony stories about hiking in the Appalachian Mountains, Mark Sanford has been forced to publicly admit his affair.
"Mr. Religious"...and "Mr. I'm not going to provide my citizens with stimulus money to keep food on their tables" has been creeping on his wife.

If he wants to creep around on his wife...that's fine. But what leaves me scratching my head is the fact that he practically abandoned his State in order to do his creeping around. He abandoned his responsibilities as Governor. Apparently this wasn't the only time he has done so.

How could he leave the State as Governor and not fully inform the Lt. Governor and the leadership in his legislature? This is especially shocking in this post Sept. 11th World we live in. It's ironic because these Republicans, especially Republican Governors, are always invoking 9/11 and touting their leadership responsibilities.

I should have known Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow were on to something when they kept sniffing around on this. You don't have to be a bloodhound to pick up on the odor of Bull----.

He's resigned as the chairman of the Republican Governors Assoc. .... hopefully he'll resign as Governor next. It's enough that he tried to starve his own people. It's also enough that he's a religious hypocrite. But now he has abandoned his State and his responsibilities as Governor.

From Rikyrah:
You tell your wife 5 MONTHS AGO, and you're still messing around?

HELL NO.

If MY husband steps to me with ' I'm having an affair'

the next sentence better be
a) it's over with HER and I want to work things out with YOU

or

b) I believe OUR marriage is over, because I want to be with HER.

The ' I dunno, and I'll hump her for a few more months while I make up my mind' is NOT an option.

He only ' confessed' BECAUSE HE WAS CAUGHT!

Follow the money...how many other ' trips' did he take like this...and how many were on the public's dime?

Well..well..well...James.Dobson.In.A.Dress & Family warned about 'EMOTIONAL CHILD ABUSE'

Hat tips: Daily Kos and Americablog

From Newsweek:

An Anchorage judge three years ago warned Sarah Palin and members of her family to stop "disparaging" the reputation of Alaska State Trooper Michael Wooten, who at the time was undergoing a bitter separation and divorce from Palin's sister Molly.

Allegations that Palin, her husband Todd, and at least one top gubernatorial aide continued to vilify Wooten—after Palin became Alaska's governor and pressured state police officials to take action against him—are at the center of "Troopergate," a political and ethical controversy which has embroiled Palin's administration and is currently the subject of an official inquiry by a special investigator hired by the state legislature.

Court records obtained by NEWSWEEK show that during the course of divorce hearings three years ago, Judge John Suddock heard testimony from an official of the Alaska State Troopers' union about how Sarah Palin—then a private citizen—and members of her family, including her father and daughter, lodged up to a dozen complaints against Wooten with the state police. The union official told the judge that he had never before been asked to appear as a divorce-case witness, that the union believed family complaints against Wooten were "not job-related," and that Wooten was being "harassed" by Palin and other family members.

Court documents show that Judge Suddock was disturbed by the alleged attacks by Palin and her family members on Wooten's behavior and character. "Disparaging will not be tolerated—it is a form of child abuse," the judge told a settlement hearing in October 2005, according to typed notes of the proceedings. The judge added: "Relatives cannot disparage either. If occurs [sic] the parent needs to set boundaries for their relatives."....

"It is the mother's [Hackett's] responsibility to set boundaries for her relatives and insure [sic] they respect them, and the disparagement by either parent, or their surrogates is emotional child abuse," Judge Suddock wrote....

Initially, Palin indicated she would cooperate with the investigation. But more recently, a lawyer hired by the state to represent her in the case asked the Alaska Attorney General to request that a state personnel board conduct its own special-counsel inquiry and demanded that the state legislature back off.

Ah, don't you love those FAMILY VALUES.

John Ridley Nails It - Your Pocket Guide to Speaking Palin-guage

In general, I'm not a fan of John Ridley, but every once in awhile, he hits the mark.

From HuffingtonPost.com:

Your Pocket Guide to Speaking Palin-guage (Vol. 1)
Posted September 3, 2008 | 03:12 PM (EST)

Up in the Twin Cities area folks are speaking a new language. Or, should I say Palinguage. It sounds sorta familiar because it's Latin based. But different from the plain English we're used to speaking, in Palinguage recognizable words take on new meanings. Won't you take a moment to learn some Plainguage so you can talk like a hypocritical conservative?

REPEAT THE FOLLOWING:

If you're a minority and you're selected for a job over more qualified candidates you're a "token hire." If you're a conservative and you're selected for a job over more qualified candidates you're a "game changer."

If you live in an Urban area and you get a girl pregnant you're a "baby daddy." If you're the same in Alaska you're a "teen father." (Actually, according to your own MySpace page you're an F'n redneck that don't want any kids, but that's too long a phrase for the evil liberal media to take out of context and flog morning noon and night).

Black teen pregnancies? A "crisis" in black America. White teen pregnancies? A "blessed event."

If you grow up in Hawaii you're "exotic." Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, you're the quintessential "American story."

Similarly, if you name you kid Barack you're "unpatriotic." Name your kid Track, you're "colorful."

If you're a Democrat and you make a VP pick without fully vetting the individual you're "reckless." A Republican who doesn't fully vet is a "maverick."

If you say that for the "first time in my adult lifetime I'm really proud of my country" it makes you "unfit" to be First Lady. If you are a registered member of a fringe political group that advocates secession that makes you "First Dude."

A DUI from twenty years ago is "old news." A speech given without proper citation from twenty years ago is "relevant information."

And, finally, if you're a man and you decide to run for office despite your wife's recurrence of cancer you're a "questionable spouse." If you're a woman and you decide to run for office despite having five kids including a newborn... Well, we don't know what that is 'cause THAT'S NOT A FAIR QUESTION TO ASK.

Got some Palinguage? They're keeping tabs here.

Why Bristol Palin's Pregnancy Matters

No. I'm not trying to pick on a 17 year old GIRL. I'm not. But, her pregnancy matters for a number of reasons.

1. The obvious double standard

If this were Malia or Sasha Obama, is anyone going to sit here, with a straight face, and tell me that the McCain campaign and their surrogates would have come out with the same statement that Senator Obama did?

HELL NO.

It would be about
a) Barack and Michelle's lack of parenting skills
b) Michelle as a working mother
c) Black pathology in general and the lack of comportment for young Black females in particular

Period.
How do I know this? Because this is all we've heard from the Religious Right about teen pregnancy up until now.

2. It's a matter of public policy.

Here, we have a political official, who, is AGAINST comprehensive sex-education being taught in the Public Schools. Here, we have a political official who wants ABSTINENCE-ONLY. And, it didn't even work in her own home.

3. Then, there's the matter of the GOP calling it a ' family matter', and that the Palin's are 'supporting' their daughter through this time, ' as a family'.

You know, I do think it's good that this teenager will NOT be on her own when this baby comes, and that there will be a family there to chip in - to help be the 'village' to raise it.

But, guess what? Not all teenaged girls who get pregnant are so lucky. As Roland Martin pointed, Mother and Father are employed with MEDICAL INSURANCE AND BRISTOL IS COMPLETELY COVERED.

Is anyone naive to believe that THAT is the circumstance under which most teenaged mothers fall?

And, when they are not that lucky, they look to the government to just give them some help as they go through this difficult time.

And what did the Governor do?

SHE CUT THE FUNDS THAT WOULD HELP THESE VULNERABLE TEENS.

See, this cuts to the core of the problem that I have with Pro-life folks. Too many only care about whether or not the woman goes through with the pregnancy. When it comes to helping said child and mother AFTER birth, too many could care less.

Cutting funds for teen mothers isn't what I call ' compassionate conservatism'. It's what I call a CROCK.

4. Then, the ultimate irony from the right wing. That they are so proud of Bristol for choosing life.

Ah, she CHOSE life.

There's that sticky word - CHOICE.

What was best for Bristol Palin might not be the best CHOICE for another teen elsewhere in America.
But, you see, Bristol's mother, and her religious right pals, would TAKE AWAY THAT CHOICE for the other teens in America.

5. If you live by 'Family Values', then you need to die by 'Family Values'.

You don't get to ram, shove and cram, 'Family Values' down the throat of America, as if you're on a different moral plain. If you put yourself out as some sort of moral barometer, then you better make sure that you can live up to the front you place before the American people.

And, let's make this finally clear. The leftward blogosphere didn't put Bristol Palin out front and center. Her mother did - to divert questions that had been raised - BY REPUBLICAN BLOGGERS IN ALASKA - about her last pregnancy. They came 'clean' because the National Enquirer was onto them.

I hope this child has a healthy baby and beats the odds in raising her child.

But, I won't hold my breath hoping that Bristol's Mother and her religious right pals have actually learned a lesson of compassion in this.
