U.S. President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel addressed crowds gathered in Berlin in front of the Brandenburg Gate, a historic location for past U.S. presidents. It is the spot where John F. Kennedy delivered his "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech in 1963 and where Ronald Reagan called for then Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to "tear down this Wall."
