Geeks Shut Down Boston With Ad Campaign
Geeks Shut Down Boston With an Ad Campaign for an Idiotic Cartoon.
These dumb suburbanites don't have a clue of what is o.k. and what is not o.k. post 911. Everything is just peaches and cream in Geekville.
The city of Boston and the State of Massachusetts lost hundreds of thousands of dollars as a result of the security scare caused by these people. In the Geeks mind, placing a strange electronic device under bridge supports did not raise any flags. These are the pitiful people who sit at home all day and eat pizza, play video games, and work on computers. They have no concept of anything real world.
Here is what I think about this nonsense.... either these people were extremely stupid for not understanding that the placement of these devices might raise security concerns, or THEY KNEW that placing them in sensitive areas would actually have the desired effect of causing a big stir and would thus create huge publicity. I even heard a "man on the street" interview from one of the local Boston TV stations where the people interviewed stated that because of the buzz that has been created, they will now check out the cartoon. So this must have been what these idiot P'sOS were aiming for.
Some people are saying that these devices were intended to be "Billboard ads".
Bull....!
If you are wanting Billboard ads, you would place these items out in the open in high traffic pedestrian areas, in normal settings. These devices were placed on or under bridges, in sensitive Subway locations, near medical facilities, near tunnels, and other sensitive spots where Billboard type ads would not be placed...because such locations are not good ad spots. The items were placed in areas that would more likely raise safety concerns.
What idiot doesn't know that after 911, Boston could be a big target? Only someone who has been locked in a closet for the last 5 years wouldn't know this.... but then again, people like this are locked in their own mental Geek World where they don't pay attention to what is going on... or they are so high on their dope that they don't take anything seriously. Nothing is serious to them. In fact, there were a few reports that had the typical spoiled Americans laughing and saying that it was all a joke and an overeaction by the Police... criticizing the Police for risking themselves to protect their spoiled ungreatful American asses. Now if these were real threats, and bombs exploded and killed folks, these same spoiled Suburban assholes would be the first dummies on television complaining about the lack of a thorough Police response.
Then there are the rich, selfish assholes who were only concerned about getting to their next stop....and blamed Police for making them late...nevermind the possible threat. This is why I feel that this country will be hit again and again....because of stupid assholes like this who think its all a joke. This country has not yet made safety & security a part of its culture. I am referring to the kind of "Be Prepared!" type of consciousness that the country once had, where people looked out for their neighbors or their fellow citizens in general. That culture no longer exists. And the U.S. government has done nothing to prepare the country for the transition back to that kind of readiness and vigilance....not a country full of fear....but a country that is ready.
These spoiled Jackasses who criticize the efforts of Police (because they were inconvenienced) are the same types who have nervous breakdowns when their power goes out for a day or they get a flat tire...because they don't know how to change a tire (i'm talking about grown men here). America is not ready for a War on Terrorism. This country is not even close to being ready.
And I hate these well-to-do suburbanites. I hate them almost as much as I hate the Terrorists that they help to breed. I just want to smack the shit out of them sometimes. (I work with em everyday...and it's torture to work with such stupid people).
