The Ignorance of Christine O'Donnell & The Tea Party on Full Display

This is why America is in serious trouble. In the following video O'Donnell demonstrates her profound ignorance about American history, the Constitution, and a number of other things. She apparently has no clue about what is in the Constitution, and completely humiliated herself during a debate with Democrat Chris Coons.

This rise of ignorance is a reflection of a wider intellectual rot in America, particularly among voters.

This is what stupid & fickle Americans (yes I said it) will be voting for collectively in November. The most frustrating part for me is knowing that Democrats/Progressives are losing to this idiocy, despite facts being on their side. Much of the problem has to do with the fact that there is a huge media imbalance and Democrats/Progressives do such a terrible job when it comes to PR, messaging and their overall communications strategy. There is really no Progressive media infrastructure that can compete with the right. Furthermore, Democratic strategists are clueless to the fact that they are in an information war with the right, and therefore, they have not put much of a priority on PR and messaging (one of their core problems over the last decade to decade & a half...which is a main reason why they lose). The fact that these Republican Tea Party candidates are taken seriously speaks volumes.

Video from Glenn Beck's 'I Have a Scheme' Rally

Oh my.... America is in trouble.

This ignorance is the force behind the GOP's Mid-term election strategy? Worse yet, they are actually getting away with it. Take a look at a recent video from New Left Media, filmed during the Glenn Beck rally.(Scary)

If you have seen my other postings from New Left Media... then you know their videos are entertaining.

Interesting story about "Acting White"

When I was growing up I had to deal with this Black cultural idiocy and I f***ing hated it. Endured it somehow.... but didn't really see many adults doing anything about the problem at the time (this was the 80's though). But now, a legal case from South Carolina may help encourage a push back (although i'm not that hopeful... because it would require action from Black parents, which isn't very likely. I'll be nice & will just leave it at that).

John McCain Gets KO'd On MSNBC

Keith Olbermann lays into John McCain for whipping up hate and xenophobia at his Campaign rallies, including the Sarah Palin events, and for his failure to take action to change the atmosphere and challenge the behavior of his followers.

A Short comment, but a good one.

More Ignorance From A McCain - Palin Rally

Sometimes I wonder if these people live in caves. Perhaps they live in mental caves that they don't want to come out of. Because listening to their comments, it seems as if they are detached from reality. Part of the problem seems to be that they are likely FAUX News viewers, and FAUX News perpetuates hate, misinformation, rumors, etc. It's not a legitimate News organization. FAUX and its diehard viewers tend to create their own reality. These people (rural White Americans) also tend to move in their own circles, and seldom venture outside of their own echo chamber - Not all of them of course...(Obama has been gaining support in rural America), but a significant portion of rural White Americans seem to fit that mold. Therefore misinformation tends to be reinforced just by default when these people talk to one another. So you end up with a downward spiral of ignorance, hate, and xenophobia in certain parts of the Country.

Does isolation create this problem? 50 years ago (or more) I would say that isolation was a big part of the problem. But it's 2008, and it's a wired world now... people in the most remote corners of the earth should be in tune with what's going on... Satellite TV, Satellite Radio, Cable, Internet, Mobile Phone service (mobile internet)...are all over the place. So something else has to be going on to lead to this problem. I think it has more to do with (as I suggested) people's tendency to stay within their own echo chamber.

More Sickness From a McCain - Palin Rally

Did anyone catch this one yet?

McCain/Palin Supporter with a makeshift Obama Monkey doll.

This video was recorded outside of a McCain/Palin rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania just a few days ago.

But watch what he does while in the rally. See video from CBS news.

It kills me when the Republicans try to deny that this atmosphere exists at their events, when clearly there is a pattern that proves otherwise. And they don't seem to understand that they offer an endorsement of this behavior by not standing up to condemn it.

Think on This....

From The Daily Dish

Palin Knows Of No Other Court Cases Except Roe
29 Sep 2008 06:39 pm

Yes, it can get worse:

The Palin aide, after first noting how "infuriating" it was for CBS to purportedly leak word about the gaffe, revealed that it came in response to a question about Supreme Court decisions. After noting Roe vs. Wade, Palin was apparently unable to discuss any major court cases.

There was no verbal fumbling with this particular question as there was with some others, the aide said, but rather silence.
