Just wanted to give respect for this horrible day in American history. The country still hasn't recovered what was lost because of 9/11.

You are so correct... namely it has lost it's collective mind and half of its Soul.
Regarding our current political mess....most of it can be traced to that day.
10 years from now... you will still be able to point to remnants of that day in our current problems, current politics/economy.
In that sense.... in at least some small way ...the Terrorists/Jihadists/Extremists won.
Bin Laden actually had the economy in mind as his way to harm the U.S..... not buildings, property or blood per se.... that was just a way to reach that objective.
