She was one of the few CBC members who was outspoken about the situation in Darfur. If the CBC wants to honor her memory, then they would be much more aggressive on Darfur and other issues. She also pushed for reform of the election process.... something high on the list of issues for me.

This is such sad news. Folks out here in Los Angeles are stunned because nobody knew how sick she really was.
The fact that she seemed to want to carry on until the end...shows her strength and dedication to her work.
I am sure she was working in pain for some time. But somehow she found the strength to keep going to work.
When I contrast that with chumps who are too lazy to get up and go to work and take care of their responsibilities... AND who are benefiting from the blood, sweat and tears of the Eleanor Holmes Nortons, the Chisolms and the McDonalds... it just makes me mad as hell.
what is disappointing is how the news media ignored Juanita McDonald and her life even to the end. This is total disrespect for her life and her work.
