"A few years ago this guy would have been getting us coffee."

So says Bill Clinton to Ted Kennedy about then United States Senator and Presidential Candidate Barack Obama.

EDITED TO ADD THIS:

From yesterday's HARDBALL;

In an attempt to persuade Ted Kennedy not to support Obama, Clinton is supposed to have said that :

" A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee. I guess the ONE-DROP RULE can still trump Harvard Law."

how come they left off the ONE-DROP RULE as part of the quote?

I wrote elsewhere that I wasn't surprised by this. How was I supposed to be surprised by this. Hell, I was one of the founders of the ClintonAttacksObama WIKI. I spent hours upon hours documenting the dog whistles and race-based rhetoric coming towards Barack Obama from the Clinton camp and their allies.

But, I believe this explains the endorsement.

Go back and playback the Kennedy endorsement video:

Teddy was ALL IN.

there was no hesitation; no doubt for him. every fiber of his being thought backing Obama was the right thing to do, and you could SEE it with Ted Kennedy.

We wrote extensively about the dogwhistles coming from Camp Clinton.

There were so many that by January 13, 2008, the Clinton Attacks Obama Wiki was announced.

By January 14, 2008, we had logged TWENTY-ONE incidents.

And then, here we come with the South Carolina Primary:

The Clintons, Black Folk and America – A Reckoning

Obama wins South Carolina on January 26, 2008. On January 27th, we get the word that Teddy and Caroline Kennedy will endorse Barack Obama and endorsement happens on January 28th.

I didn't even get to:

Bill Clinton's 'Mea Culpa' Church Tour

Q: “Do you believe that Obama is a Muslim?”
HRC: “No, of course not. I take him at his word.”

The 'Obama has a cult' meme

" There are two patriotic Americans in this race, Hillary Clinton and John McCain."

Hillary at the State of the Black Union

“He would not have been my pastor,” Clinton said. “You don’t choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend.”

The Joint Ticket Hustle
Geraldine Ferraro
Stephanie Tubbs Jones
The threatening of Nancy Pelosi by Clinton donors.

“I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on,” she said in an interview with USA TODAY. As evidence, Clinton cited an Associated Press article “that found how Sen. Obama’s support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me.”

“There’s a pattern emerging here,” she said.

The REPEATED moving of the GOALPOSTS.

and, the whipped cream on the top of the Clinton sundae:

- In an interview with the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton made the following comments about staying in the race:

“”My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don’t understand it.”

the cherry on the Clinton Sundae was the

Deranged Narcissist NON-concession speech (eternal gratitude to Jeffery Toobin)

After all this, do you really believe that anyone posting at this blog was REMOTELY surprised by what they said in that book?

I don't see how we could be surprised. While some folks have been willing to kiss and make up because Hillary is Secretary of State, NOBODY has forgotten the dogwhistles. They sure in hell haven't been forgiven.

So, WHY isn't this getting the play in the media that the Harry Reid is getting?

Because I don't think a whole lotta folks, especially those that told us who heard the dog whistles

' it's all in your imagination'

don't want to have to try and ' explain' what Bill Clinton 'REALLY' meant.

I mean I suffered through Michelle Bernard being absolutely on point in yesterday's Hardball about THIS comment and why it's so offensive. She used the following when referring to Clinton's comment wondering if this is what he thought Obama should be saying:

Yes Massa, can I get you some coffee

ONLY to be blithely dismissed by Tweety because HE doesn't believe Clinton is a racist.

I will not digress, but only to bring up this point that Tweety said that the President was appealing because he wasn't ' connected to slavery'.

Sigh....

Um, Tweety....Dear.....he's been on this kick since the beginning:

I wrote in 2008:

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said, in the course of covering the Obama candidacy, and I’m paraphrasing,
” He (Barack Obama) brings none of the ‘ bad stuff’, you know?”

By ‘Bad Stuff’, he meant the legacy of enslaving Africans in this country and then keeping them as second-class citizens until 1965, a mere 11 years before this country celebrated its 200th anniversary. So, for 189 years from its official founding as a country, and tack on another 150 years pre-Revolutionary War, and you’ve got the ‘ Bad Stuff’ done to people of African descent. You know, ‘the original sin’, or ‘ the birth defect’, as Condi Rice called it.

But, guess what…..despite being ‘ oh so smart’ by supporting Barack Obama, the ‘Bad Stuff’ smacked White America in the face.

First, with the revelation that his White Side was still involved in ‘the bad stuff’ (slavery), only as SLAVEOWNERS.

So, I guess SLAVEOWNING doesn't count in having FAMILY INVOLVED WITH SLAVERY.

But, I digress.

Craig Hickman posted this:

The Clintons are the most dangerous kind of racist: They've actually convinced so many (too many) Black people that they're on our side.

Hence the shucking by Willie Brown, lapping up in agreement with Tweety about Bill Clinton.

Made me SICK.

And guess what folks......the clip is NOT on the Hardball video site.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........

Do not think Mr. Hickman, that anyone has forgotten about the Clintons.

Just don't hold your breath to think that Bill Clinton's quote will be tackled head on in the MSM.

Cause, according to the MSM, it was all in our ' imaginations'....and there are plenty of explanations about an United States Senator SERVING COFFEE.

Now THIS should be the story.... if they are going to distract us from more important issues. Damn Harry Reid and his clumsiness and old age. The more meaty story buried under the Reid nonsense is the Clinton comment(s). Add this to the other comments they made and the tactics they resorted to... and it's even more disgusting. You can't deny it. It was so disgusting that it basically made Kennedy flip out. WTH!!???

Now who still believes that the Clinton's had nothing to do with the turban photo being released right before a debate???? That was the nastiest campaigning that I have ever seen.

I saw this report last night and my jaw hit the floor. (made all their other comments & actions make sense...in that it all fit into a clear pattern to me).

In case anyone needed confirmation regarding what I was trying to tell folks on here (and Kos) and anywhere else.... well...

WTH... Game Change is so rich.... plenty of Palin information.

I can post for a whole month from this book.

Dingbat didn't know that Korea was split into two nations. WT_?

Didn't understand the Federal Reserve system.... (not even the basics learned in High School).

Didn't know cold war.

How is she going to be an analyst on FOX?

More proof that Faux is a propaganda network.

I will definitely post my thoughts on Palin later.

Will also lay down a challenge to her... A General knowledge quiz (combination of multiple choice, true/false, fill in blank) about politics, civics, the world, history, foreign policy.... the basics that any Presidential candidate should know.

Of course she's not going to accept the challenge.

did you watch HARDBALL tonight, as they discussed Palin? it was absurd.
