Obama did.

When he became President I knew that this was going to be the case (receiving more scrutiny & being questioned about everything) but watching it is amusing. If Obama scratches his nose.... it becomes something that will be analyzed by some pundit. Talk Radio is particularly bad - they are really having a field day.

But it seems Bush wasn't questioned anywhere near the same degree.

Part of that is the difference in race.... I knew that since Obama was "Black" as most like to call him, he would be questioned about everything. This seems to happen to Black folks in the workforce...no matter how high up they get. It's like there is this defacto, unspoken rule that Blacks need an extra eye kept on them....especially when they gain more responsibility.

Part of this circus has to do with the transition in media over the last 15 years or so...where good investigative journalism has been replaced by this infotainment that we see. The Ed Bradley's have been shoved out of the way. So as a way to fill the time, networks have to find something...anything...to ramble about. It's no surprise that I found nothing substantive from the big media;s "news" coverage of the past week.Brian https://www.blogger.com/profile/07872444863142531165noreply@blogger.com
