They will say or do whatever it takes to win and playing the race card late in the primary season was done out of desperation.

RoderickAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21083673.post-70309969129223340122008-08-05T01:42:00.000-07:002008-08-05T01:42:00.000-07:00"the MOMENT the Black Person speaks up and points ..."the MOMENT the Black Person speaks up and points out the racebaiting, THEY are accused of ' Playing the Race Card'."

And that's what really drives me crazy. Are Black folks supposed to sit around quietly while this stuff is going on right in front of them? What is a candidate supposed to do? Let the Bull go unchallenged?

As soon as someone points out the obvious, they are accused of using race, when race was already injected by the other side. Regarding McCain...this stuff goes all the way back to the racist AM talk radio host Bill Cunningham in Ohio.

Obama was pointing out facts last week when he said that ("they") Republicans would try to scare voters... because he looks different from the men on American currency...has a funny name, etc. These are actually tactics that McSame's surrogates have already been using for months. So why the controversy? Why does the truth cause such controversy today? Is it because those who control the media (both Republicans and some old guard Traditional Democrats) have distorted the truth so much that they have created their own reality? So when someone brings up facts, these people get extremely annoyed because "their" reality is being challenged.

It's the same with the Clintons.
And they were actually uglier than McSame has been so far.

As for Slick Willy.... I guess when you are from the South, there are certain things that are so embedded in your psyche regarding race...that you don't realize just how offensive you can be in terms of racial comments. Some folks just don't have the perspective that allows them to recognize the lines that they shouldn't cross. He may not be a racist.... but his comments & actions certainly bore a strong resemblance to racism. They certainly used race to divide voters and to boost their support. They branded Obama as the "traditional Black male politician" and used that against him everyday afterwards...with the help of the media of course. That whole deal was a tag team with the media. And his wife.... she was blatant with her racial nonsense. The RFK comments blew the lid off of any doubt that anyone had...or it certainly should have. Any negro (esp in the CBC) who stayed with her after that should be ashamed of themselves. They should have had their legitimacy cards revoked immediately and they should not have access to an Obama White House IMO. If I were Obama.. I would ignore them, bypass them, and go to their districts personally to meet the people and bring needed services. Upstaging local lawmakers? Maybe. But they deserve it. He should also renounce his CBC membership. In fact... as President, he should sign an executive order that would put the CBC out of business permanently.Brian https://www.blogger.com/profile/07872444863142531165noreply@blogger.com
