The media never gave him any respect....or airtime.

And voters never really related to the poverty message...or the healthcare message in the way that Michael Moore framed it.

Americans simply don't care about poverty as much as they care about their Sunday Football, or what is happening with Britney Spears.
The only people who are concerned about issues like Poverty, the working poor, or inadequate healthcare are those who are living through it; and that represents a minority of Americans. These are also Americans who have very little economic or political influence.
That is why the politicians on both sides really don't care what happens to them.

It was funny to hear that Edwards encouraged Clinton and Obama to make poverty a central part of their campaigns....and that they agreed. What a load of bull----.

Poverty/the working poor had never been a central part of their campaigns before (or any part of their campaigns), so why in the hell would it become a central part of their campaigns now?Brian https://www.blogger.com/profile/07872444863142531165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21083673.post-86964054719351149632008-01-31T19:44:00.000-08:002008-01-31T19:44:00.000-08:00Perhaps Mr. Edwards has already been assured a spo...Perhaps Mr. Edwards has already been assured a spot on the ticket of the perceived front runner nominee Hilary Clinton.ruffian96https://www.blogger.com/profile/01346232799206183596noreply@blogger.com
